Enterprise Perspective

Technology connects systems.
Trust connects people.

For more than four decades, I have worked with founders, engineers, executives, investors and global enterprises.

Technology has always been part of the journey.

People have always been the reason.

What Experience Taught Me

Patterns.
Systems.
Decisions.

Technology changes.

People remain remarkably familiar.

Over the years, I have worked with people who built companies, transformed organisations and invested in new ideas.

Different industries.

Different cultures.

Different technologies.

Remarkably similar human challenges.

Experience has taught me that trust is built long before technology creates value.

That listening usually leads to better decisions.

That great organisations are built by exceptional people.

And that leadership is rarely about having all the answers.

It is about asking better questions.

I only hire people who are better than myself.

A leadership principle I expressed in an interview with Børsen in the early 2000s — and one I still believe today.

Some opportunities take months. Others take years. I have never been in a hurry to build something that matters.

Roots
Halifax · Nova Scotia · Canada

Part of the story
before mine began.

In the early 1950s, my parents left Denmark as young adults and built a life in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Decades later, I would make my own move across the Atlantic and build a life and business in Boston.

Different generation. Different circumstances. But perhaps some of the willingness to leave what was familiar and build somewhere new travelled with me.

Observations

What experience has taught me.

Four decades in technology taught me many things. These are the observations that continue to guide my work.

01

Technology connects systems. Trust connects people.

Technology makes organisations faster. Trust makes them stronger.

02

Relationships compound.

The most valuable opportunities in my career rarely came from cold introductions. They came from people who remembered how we worked together years earlier.

03

Curiosity ages better than certainty.

Every technology wave eventually changes. The willingness to keep learning never goes out of date.

Current Focus

Today, my focus spans enterprise AI, international market development, modular building systems and initiatives built around lived experience.

Different fields, but connected by the same principles: understanding the context, finding what matters and bringing the right people together to build something useful.

Conversation

Let's continue the conversation.

The most valuable opportunities in my career rarely started with a presentation.

They started with a conversation.

If something you have read here resonates with you, I'd be pleased to continue the conversation.
